If you died RIGHT NOW, have you ever thought about where you would go?
To some, it may be a wild concept to think of oneself existing somewhere else other than what we observe around us – life as we know it now, or deceased and buried/cremated – but our soul; the spirit/immaterial part of being human, of being who we are, goes on to exist somewhere else after death. We may disappear from sight, but not from consciousness. We are very much alive somewhere else.
If death were to take you from the earth at this very moment, where would you be when you opened your eyes?
Do you know?
This is the single most important question you can ask yourself.
Things you need to know:
- Hell was not meant for us. It was meant as a place for Satan. Many people accuse God of not being loving because he allows people to go to hell; but that is not His want for us. He wants us to come to know Him so we can live more abundant lives & ultimately escape this fate. Man brought sin to the world God created, not God. As people, we sin & carry the weight of it, but Jesus offered a way out; people just have to accept Him.
- Going to church or being baptized will not save you. Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3:7 that a man must be “born again.” Furthermore, the thief that died alongside Jesus on the cross, was not baptized as far as anyone knows, and yet Jesus told him that very day he would be with Him in paradise.
- If there has not been a time in your life when you repented or turned from your sins and asked God for forgiveness, then you are a lost sinner – right now! You, according to Scripture, would go to hell, if you died at this moment. (Luke 16)
- Good works will not take you to Heaven. Only by accepting the free gift of salvation by believing in Christ, can you go to Heaven. Heaven is a place without sin. This is why only those redeemed by Jesus’s sacrifice can enter there.
Would you like to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour right now? All you have to do is mean it from your heart, & pray a simple prayer (example below).
“God be merciful to me, a sinner. Please forgive me of all of my sins that I have committed against you, for Jesus’ sake, and save my soul. From this day forward, give me assurance that I am going to be with You in Heaven forever and deliver me each day. Thank you, God for saving me. In Jesus’s name, I pray. Amen.”
